Sheep's Head Retreat is located in the townland of Caher, 1.79 miles west of the village of Kilcrohane on the Sheep's Head Peninsula in West Cork, Ireland.

Directions

From Rosslare Harbour and Cork
Take N25 towards Cork.
Drive through New Ross, Waterford.
At Cork, take N71 towards Bandon.
At Bandon, take R586.
Drive through Dunmanway, Drimoleague. Continue towards Bantry on N71. Shortly after Hurley's garage (Renault) on the left, turn left signposted Crookhaven and Sheep's Head R591, and then signs for Durrus and Kilcrohane.
At Durrus, take right at fork on to Sheep's Head (signed for Ahakista, Kilcrohane).

From Dublin
Take Dublin (motorway) towards Cork (do not go to Cork city)
Take the N71(West Cork) which then becomes N27 signed Kinsale & then Bandon (keep on the Bandon road (R586) and follow instructions above (from Rosslare Harbour and Cork).

From Killarney
Take N71 towards Cork.
Drive through Kenmare, Glengariff, Bantry.
After Bantry take SECOND sign on the right to Kilcrohane (shortly after passing Barry's garage on the left) which will be signposted Crookhaven and Sheep's Head R591, and then Durrus and Kilcrohane.
At Durrus, take right at fork on to Sheep's Head (signed for Ahakista, Kilcrohane).

Once on the Sheep's Head Peninsula
At Durrus - Ross's Bar (fork to left to the Mizen Peninsular) take road to the right for the Sheep's Head (signed for Ahakista, Kilcrohane) drive through Kilcrohane towards the Sheep's Head, past McCarthy's pub (known by the locals as the White House) now a café. Murphy's sign outside. Past signs to Dooneen and Caher, at Caher cross, count eight telegraph poles on the right. Immediately opposite eighth telegraph pole, turn left down side of a white bungalow (Mason's) with two flourescent strips on the boundary walls. Park by red gate. Sheep's Head Retreat is on the left, the owner lives down below.
